Trent Reznor Doll

PANEL 1

Tuna presents a large boxed doll to an excited Rachel. The box reads "Trent Reznor DOLL" with labels: "ANATOMICALLY CORRECT!", "REMOVABLE PANTS!", "REAL HAIR!", "LIFE-SIZED!" Tuna wears a shirt that says "TRENT IS MY SQUEAK TOY."

TUNA: "For your 21st birthday, I got you this life-sized, anatomically correct Trent Reznor doll!"

RACHEL: "Oh, Tuna! How'd you know? This is the best birthday present ever!"

TUNA: "Heh, I can guess what you'll be doing with him..."

PANEL 2

Text: "Later..." Rachel, dressed in a fancy hat and dress, has a tea party with the Trent Reznor doll. A skeleton in a chair sits nearby. Tuna watches.

RACHEL: "May I serve you some more tea, Mr. Reznor?"

RACHEL: "I just finished reading Brian Greene's The Elegant Universe..."

RACHEL: "I found it to be a delightful introduction to superstring theory."

RACHEL: "What did you think?"

This was originally a short to commemorate my 21st birthday. My mom and I went to Knoxville to see Nine Inch Nails in concert! It was a lot of fun. I wish I had a chance to see Trent perform some more before he went back into hiding. Oh well!

This comic only appeared briefly online in promotional materials but was printed in the first *Subculture of One *comic, the “Spring 2006: Body Issues” along with Bush Gardens, Das Boots and Chemistry (to be posted soon).

Also, I found this short lurking in my old files, a leftover from Valentine’s Day 2006:

i find the fact that the box touts “removable pants” to be of the utmost hilarity.
